Dead Sea Salt - Nature's Beauty Ingredient

Three Million Years ago, on the Syrian-African fault line, a geological phenomenon exposed ancient layers of mineral rich earth. Natural salt-water springs erupted and formed a lake in this place, the lowest valley in the world (400 meters below Sea Level). Thousands of years of evaporation condensed this mixture to contain between 25% and 30% Salt and other life-enhancing minerals. Today we know this as the Dead Sea . What makes Dead Sea Salt so different, and effective?

The waters of the Dead Sea contain 33% salt, an amount 10 times higher than is found in the Mediterranean Sea. Salt mountains with cathedral-like salt-chimneys and caves have formed around its perimeter. Ancient traditions that persist to this day have held that Lot's wife exists permanently as one of the pillar-like "salt mushrooms" that form on the Eastern shore of the Sea. Archaeologists have formed numerous speculations concerning the whereabouts of the cursed cities of the plain Sodom and Gomorrah based on the location of these salt pillars.

Dead Sea salts are mineral-rich and contain high proportions of Potassium, Magnesium and Bromide. Potassium helps regulate the moisture level of the skin, Magnesium helps promote healing, and Bromide has a smoothing and relaxing effect. Dead Sea salt exfoliates and revitalizes the skin and helps draw out toxins.
